Internet House is a forum formed with a common objective of inculcating ICT culture, foster and facilitates learning and research through computer studies. The aim is to promote student achievements and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence.
This agitation for ICT usage which is the fundamental ideals of our lecturer M. M. YUSIF serves as the driving force for this notable forum and the foundation for its building.
The forum intends to work relentlessly, vigorously and doggedly in actualizing its set-objectives. The members of this forum in intellectual rationality shall execute all programmes and activities with utmost decency and adherence to the rules of law and order.
The activities of this forum shall include organizing intellectual and brain-storming lecture, orientation, tutorials and enlightenment campaigns, conferences and many more student empowerment projects including Internet day. Under the umbrella of students of Political Science Department , the forum shall give recognition and commendation to individuals, organizations (corporate and non- government) and group/bodies that have shown support and positively contributed to the wellbeing of students and the country in general.
OUR MOVES.... ...United in mission for a just cause we pledge that:
- Through awareness, tutorials and enlightenment campaigns, we shall preach the use of ICT and Computer to students.
- Through intellectual orientations, tutorials, symposia, conferences, rallies and others, we shall preach and pursue the empowerment on ICT usage with emphasis on political science students.
- Through e-forum, we shall strain every nerves in youthful vigor to defend and agitate good and credible governance as well as sustainable development.
- Through e-enlightenment campaigns we shall strive to eradicate the menace of cultism, HIV/AIDS and other social vices amongst Students
OBJECTIVES
We, the students of Political Science student, Bayero University, Kano. Pledge to pursue the following objectives.
- Our support and dogged conviction on the Adoption of measures to improve access to information and communications technology (ICT) and to provide students with the skills to make use of it
- Our allegiance to the empowerment of student in the Digital World especially training for self-improvement and self reliance
- Ensure that students are given opportunities and guided to the computer studies and internet usage in their area of studies.
- To improve the use of internet-based learning among students.
- To encourage the sharing of information and communication among students and teachers using e-mail and internet
- To bring out creative ways to develop learning and teaching using ICT
